K. Smith is the leading pencil artist in The Bahamas and one of the few artists in North America who work exclusively in graphite and coloured pencil. He is a self-taught artist who has been creating photo-realistic images since 1977. His passion and impeccable attention to detail have earned him the reputation of being one of the finest in the field of drawing. His ability to produce lifelike images captures the essence of the natural environment as well as the authenticity of historical architecture such as landmark hotels, prestigious private clubs, and private residences.

Since 1993, K. Smith has donated pieces of his art work to the Sir Victor Sassoon Heart Foundation's Annual Heart Ball, the Society Event of the Year, held in Nassau, The Bahamas for use as room raffle prizes. The internationally acclaimed artist has also donated his art works to The Bahamas Family Planning Association's Art Auction as well as The Anglican Central Education Authority's Art Auction. In July of 1998, in recognition of the Twenty-fifth Anniversary of Independence of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, K. Smith presented three framed limited edition prints to the Rt. Honourable Hubert A. Ingraham, Prime Minister.

K. Smith's original works are proven art investments and can be found in prominent private and corporate collections throughout Canada, The United States of America, The Bahamas, and The United Kingdom.
